about Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts:

The Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts is a great place for kids and families; family shows are scheduled each year. See our calendar for details.

Family Fun subscription prices: three-event subscription $15; four-event subscription $20; five-event subscription $25. Individual ticket prices range from $12 to $20.

KidsClub workshops are available to Family Fun subscribers after each show in the family series. Advance registration is required.

Brooklyn Center's administrative offices and the Levenson Recital Hall are in Gershwin Hall - the building to the left of the campus gates. Whitman Hall is the large building on the path directly through the main gates. The Whitman Theatre and The New Workshop Theatre are both located in Whitman Hall.

The Box Office is open from 1pm-6pm, Tuesday through Saturday, and one hour prior to curtain time for any ticketed event.

getting there:

By subway: 2 to Flatbush Avenue (last stop on the line). Be sure train says Flatbush Avenue on the front car (some 2s go to New Lots Avenue). Exit at The Junction - the intersection of Flatbush Avenue, Nostrand Avenue, and Hillel Place. Walk along Hillel Place (Blimpie is on the corner) towards the marquee at the end of the block; the entrance to the complex is through the college's main gate, with the exception of the Gershwin Theatre entrance, which is about 50 yards to the left of the main gate. The Center's parking lots are open for most weekend performances; at other times the adjacent municipal lot has multi-hour metered parking.
