Brooklyn Free Space (BFS) is a licensed and accredited cooperative preschool for children ages 2.6 to 4.8 years. Located in Park Slope, BFS was established in 1978.
The school is run by a combination of committed member families, professional teachers, and administrators who work together to create a warm, responsive, and caring environment for children.
Full-day students attend from 9am to 3pm. Part-time students attend from 9am to 12:30pm. Early drop off and late pick up are available. At least one adult from each member family must attend General Meetings, participate in member votes, and contribute work to the coop.
BFS also offers a summer camp program.
