about Buckhorn Saloon and Museum and Texas Ranger Museum:

The Buckhorn Museum - in continuous operation since 1881 - believes in "edutainment," and interactive displays therefore abound. Dioramas are dedicated to taxidermied models of indigenous Texas wildlife, as well as creatures that once roamed Africa, Asia, and North America.

The wax museum covers over 400 years of Texas History in 14 interactive displays.

The and Texas Ranger Museum houses hundreds of Texas Ranger artifacts including revolvers, automatic handguns, sawed off shotguns, badges, photographs, and much more. Notable Texas Rangers exhibited in the collection include Ray Martinez, Joaquin Jackson, John B. Armstrong, and Frank Hamer. Ranger Town is a recreation of San Antonio at the turn of the century. Explore this western town complete with a saloon, jail, blacksmith shop and telegraph office. The Bonnie and Clyde exhibit complete with '34 Ford V8 Deluxe is a guest favorite.

The Saloon, where Teddy Roosevelt recruited Rough Riders and Pancho Villa is rumored to have planned the Mexican Revolution, rustles up full meals and snacks.

And the curio store, which bills itself as "The Oddest Store in the World," is rife with interesting souvenir options.
