Folks big on supporting small, locally-owned businesses that offer quality products should add Bucky's of Boston to their list of ice cream places to frequent. The homemade ice cream is delicious and tastes as good - we dare say even better - than the goods offered by the big boys. After a hot day at the beach, the Italian ices are just the ticket. Big scoops of flavored ice (mango, bubblegum, cherry, sour apple, and more) in a large cup. Yum.

If not familiar with the Von's Shopping Center in Rancho Penasquitos, Bucky's can be a minor challenge to find because it is a small storefront. Be sure to drive around until you find it; it is worth the extra few minutes.
