The Sabine Promenade - a waterfront park along both banks of Buffalo Bayou - offers a quiet respite from the hubbub on the streets above, with a paved path ideal for strolling or biking. Locals and visitors alike can appreciate the unique view of the towering skyline of downtown Houston.

The Promenade runs along both banks of Buffalo Bayou from Bagby Street at Texas Avenue to the Sabine Street bridge at Allen Parkway. Access is available from ramps and stairs at street level.

Pontoon boat tours of the city's waterways are available from a dock at the foot of the Sabine Street bridge during special events and at other pre-scheduled times.

The grassy areas along the promenade provide nice picnic spots and some great hills for kids to roll down. At night, lights along the promenade vary in color according to the cycle of the moon - white lights during a full moon, blue during a new moon.
