about Buffalo Bill Museum & Grave:

One of the Wild West's greatest showmen, Bill Cody got his start herding cattle, mining for gold, and riding for the Pony Express.

The Buffalo Bill Museum was started in 1921 by Johnny Baker, Bill's foster son and includes exhibits about Buffalo Bill's life and the Wild West shows, Indian artifacts, Western art and firearms, and Buffalo Bill's gravesite, a hand-picked final resting place that he chose for himself.

getting there:

Take I-70 west to exit 256 (marked Buffalo Bill Grave), then follow the signs. Or take 6th Avenue West to Golden and turn left onto the Lariat Trail (19th Street). Follow the scenic winding road to the top of the mountain.
