Burger's Lake is a 30-acre park featuring a one-acre spring-fed lake for swimming. Two sandy beaches are found along the perimeter and are perfect for getting a little sun. Big trees are nearby, though, for those wanting some shade.
Kids are entertained by the six diving boards (including a baby-sized board), a 20-foot slide, and a 25-foot trapeze that swings over the water. Inner tubes are also available for rent.
When swimming becomes a little tiresome, volleyball courts await those eager for something different.
Plan to stay for the entire day and pack a picnic or bring a cooler full of goodies. More than 300 picnic tables are scattered throughout the grounds and charcoal grills are also available for cooking out.
