BEWARE OF CAKE DESIGN BY EDDA!FOUND HAIRS IN THE CAKE! This people only care about your money! I bought my son his 1st Birthday Cake here. When the cake Arrived. It Was nothing like the picture! It was leaking by the sides and the Sugar Elmo was melting! When we told the driver, he simply said "Miami is Hot"!! Yes!! That's what he said! I immediately called the store and spoked to the manager, She said It was The weathers fault! I that at this point there was nothing she was able to do for me. I asked if he can take the cake back and we will pick it up later, She had the density to say "I have to charge you extra". We couldn't believe it! My husband told me to forget it and to clean the leak around the cake. We did then took off the $120 Sugar Elmo we pay them to do and not melt. I ended up using my babies Toy Elmo. When there was time to cut the cake. We found HAIR!!! Yes HAIRS on the Cake. We had a horrible experience and never had an apologies from them. We are contacting an inspector to take a look at their kitchen & their employee. We spent $850 on my son's 1st birthday cake to be special. Now all I have is bad memories of a nasty cake!!! Spend your money somewhere else with better reputation.

This was a horrible experience and I will NEVER use this place again. Edda's Cake Designs was highly recommended for a specialized cake. I ordered the cake and provided specific details with a picture. I even wrote out the spelling of names and how I wanted the cake arranged. I asked the assistant taking the order if she understood and she said yes. The design had part of a football field on the bottom and I asked if she understood that i wanted the yard lines starting at 10 and going to the other 10. She said yes she understood and not to worry. I paid half up front and half at the time of pickup. If I hadn't paid that money I would have walked out when the cake came out COMPLETELY WRONG. It looked nothing like the picture. The spelling was wrong and they had the wrong message on the side. They didn't even have the person's NAME for the birthday cake! The ribbons seperating the two tiers were missing and the yardage said 40. . .50. . .40 . . .50 all around! Mind you they told me they were running 20 minutes late. So then they had to fix everything which took another 20 minutes. Even then it looked "passable" and the party was in less than an hour. If I wasn't in a time crunch I would have protested even more. They offered me . . . wait for it. . . . . .a 10% discount off of more than $200 dollars! Are you kidding me??? This place is a rip off! Completely unprofessional and not worth the amount of money for a cake that was WRONG! Please do yourself a favor and DON'T GO HERE! No matter how they try to spin this. . .they are not good.

Greatest Cakes ever!

They have the best cakes ever! The last I bought wasn't enough for everybody because everybody wanted to take an extra piece .The Greatest Cake Ever. They put together for me some cheese cream amaretto flavors that got me out of my mind. Delicious!

This is such a great place for kid's party cakes. They have a wonderful variety and the staff was very helpful. I was amazed to see that they offer 8 or 9 flavors of cupcakes. We did a cupcake tower for my daughter's birthday with a small cake for the top and rented a stand for it. My sister was so impressed that the did the same for my niece in a completely different theme. Awesome! The cupcakes were the talk of the evening!

When picking out my wedding cake, the people at cake designs were an amazing help. I told them the type of flowers I had at my wedding, and they designed a one of a kind cake around my theme! It was beautiful!!!!

Cake Designs by Edda did my wedding cake and not only did they give me someone else's wedding cake -- that was SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive -- but they also refused to give me a refund on the price difference. Buyer beware!

Had my daughter's wedding at the Coral Gables Hyatt, on the 24th of January 2009. The cake was made at the South Miami store. It was a 4 tiered cake, with rhinestones and broches. The invoice said that I wanted it extra moist. It was DRY and tasted as if it had been made 4 days prior. Also, there wasn't enough cake to serve everyone, even though the cake was made to feed more people than those that attended. I am very upset! They got paid about $4.75 per slice by the hotel, and I paid even more money to make up the difference of what it cost for every slice. I have complained and will post how they resolve it.

We just had a baby shower this past weekend, and everyone was so impressed with our baby safari cake from Cakes Designs By Edda! It was the main attraction of the baby shower. And not only was it beautiful, it taste great!!! The staff was super nice and helpful. Thanks Edda!

Too expensive for the quality.TodoDulces.com is much better.They have best quality and design. They are professional and good with people not just a business.

I think Edda's cake is the best cake in Florida,i've alaways loved her great tasting cake Edda's cake is the best.

I love the rum cakes there, all my cakes I buy them there, baby shower, birthday or just to eat, and they are sooo deliciuos, but they are a bit expensive, in my opinion, they are worth every penny.

Personaly I love Edda's cakes. They taste amazing and they look amazing too. I reccamend it.

As an artist I am very picky that the character on the cake be exact to the real thing. They are great arists! Our cake was perfect! But they are very expensive!

Edda's has the best cakes in Miami. All the cakes we have bought there have been great, and they are delicious. I recommend them.
