about Capitol View Branch Library:
The Capitol View Branch Library circulates over 32,000 books and offers an extensive video library. The library sponsors special events and programs that include tutoring for children, toy lending for disabled children, and a research center for writing papers. The branch also provides space for community organizations in its meeting room.
A child may get a library card when he or she is able to write his or her name on the library card application. Parents may check children's books out on their own cards. Books may be borrowed for up to 21 days. Children are not charged for books brought back late.

Bus: 96, 97, U6, W4 stop at the branch. Nearest Metro: The Benning Road station on the Blue Line is a few blocks to the west of the library. Walk east on East Capitol Street, SE to Central Avenue, SE. Parking is available behind the library.
