about Carleton Farm:

Just outside of Everett in the picturesque Snohomish Valley, Carleton Farm is a working farm growing its own vegetables. In October, families can pick their own pumpkins, visit the farm animals and wander the corn maze. The farm offers free hayrides to the field on weekends, and kids can shoot a pumpkin cannon.

The snack bar serves corn-on-the-cob, hot dogs, ice cream, and pie on weekends. As they say at the farm: "None of it's good for you, but heck, neither is all that Halloween candy!" (It's okay, you can buy fresh produce at the farm to make up for the treats.)

getting there:

Drive to Everett via I-5. Take exit #194 (Hwy 2 - Stevens Pass/Wenatchee highway). Follow the bridge 2 miles, and at the end make a slight left toward Lake Stevens (SR 204/20th Street SE ramp). Merge onto SR 204. Take the first left onto Sunnyside Boulevard SE. Note: if you miss the turn, take the second left onto 10th Street SE, and turn right onto Sunnyside Boulevard SE.
