about Carpenter Performing Arts Center:

Karen and Richard's legacy, the Carpenter Center features a varied season of performance events, including family programming, concerts, dance, alternative theater, and film.

The Young Audience Series, aimed at children five to nine years old, offers kid-friendly musical events at family-friendly prices and consists of three shows per season. The Spectacle Series offers three visually engaging events per year for kids of all ages.

The Center is also home to Musical Theatre West and the Long Beach Community Concert Association.

getting there:

From Southbound 405: Get off at the Palo Verde exit, turn right at the traffic signal at the end of the long frontage onto southbound Palo Verde. From 605 Fwy: take the 405 north from the southern end of 605 Fwy. See "From Northbound 405" directions. Once you're southbound on Palo Verde, cross Stearns Street and continue to Atherton Street (the next traffic signal) and turn right. Take the first left into the parking lot and you will see the Carpenter Performing Arts Center to your right. Well-lit event parking is available adjacent to the Carpenter Center for $3 per vehicle.
