about Catamaran Resort Hotel:

This is truly a tropical paradise! Many of the 313 hotel rooms at the Catamaran have panoramic views of Mission Bay and the San Diego Beach areas. Others look out onto the aviary of birds and waterfalls that is the lobby. The Catamaran sits directly on pristine beaches and offers a multitude of ways to keep its guests happy. Guest rooms have coffee makers, hairdryers, irons and boards, TV, and fee movies. Studios are equipped with a full kitchen. Shuttles may be arranged via the hotel with Cloud 9 Shuttle for $9 to the airport. Hotel parking is free. The pool area is lushly planted and offers a spa as well as a bay view. Most guests, however, venture out onto the sand and spend the day there. Check out a ball and try your hand at sand volleyball! The resort offers paddle boats, sailboats, motorboats, kayaks, windsurfing, wetsuits, boogie boards, rafts, roller skates, and bicycles; all at a fee. The sand castle building and hours of relaxation in the sun are free. Kids will find lots to do at "Camp Sailfish". This summer program is safe, fun and exciting. Hour-long craft and recreation activities are available for children aged 5-12. Parents must check children in and out. Camp hours are: Wed-Sun 10am-5pm, Labor Day - Memorial Day. Some activities require a nominal fee. A video arcade is also available. Parents will enjoy the Fitness and Exercise Center. The hotel is business-friendly and has computer hookups in the rooms as well as an office center. The award winning Atoll restaurant serves up gourmet cuisine and has a delicious Sunday Buffet. Reservations are required. Two popular bars are also on site. Lots of kid-friendly dining is available in the neighborhood as well as the usual fast food joints. Ask the concierge to direct you to a spot that will suit you. Several packages are offered that allow hotel guests to visit local tourist spots at reduced rates and require a minimum two-night stay. The Unlimited Use Package requires a four night stay but includes a substantial discount if you plan on visiting Sea World, the Zoo and/or the Wild Animal Park. (Reservations for this package are required at least 72 hours in advance.)
