At 42 stories and 535 feet high, the Cathedral of Learning, a historic landmark on the University of Pittsburgh campus, is the second-tallest education building in the world.
In addition to housing a magnificent three-story Commons Room at ground level, the Cathedral of Learning also contains classrooms, the university's administrative offices, libraries, a computer center, a restaurant, and offices and classrooms for many liberal arts departments.
The cultural backgrounds of a variety of ethnic groups are represented in the artifacts and furnishings of the building's 26 Nationality Rooms.
