Cedar Crest, an independent day school for early childhood through the eighth grade, bases its program on individualized education with an emphasis on cognitive learning. The school's Early Childhood Center accepts children ages six weeks old and up. Classrooms are set up with activity centers for blocks, drama, computers, painting, sand and water, and more. Children learn Spanish phrases and songs. Before and afterschool care is available. The Academy houses a lower school for kindergarten through fifth grade and a middle school for sixth through eighth grades. In all levels, art, athletics, and languages play a key role.
