Located about one hour west of
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport,
Cedar Point is a world-class collection of thrill rides and roller coasters.
The park appears on almost every national "best" and "most" list of amusement parks, and is a top-of-mind favorite for most
coaster enthusiasts. Cedar Point does something big each year to maintain its status, such as adding some new ride that grabs headlines and breaks records.
Planet Snoopy is known for offering
big thrills for little kids, and the few attractions in that area that also accommodate parents are pretty fun - such as the
Snoopy's Big Bow Wow On Ice shows, which feature world-class skaters, and the
All Wheels Extreme high-energy, BMX-style exhibition. Visit the website for show schedules.
Although most Cleveland-area families make a day trip out of a Cedar Point visit, a variety of overnight lodging options are available, including
RV camping. An added benefit of staying at any Cedar Point resort is the
Early Access Pass, which allows resort guests access to the park 30 minutes before the general public.
All major restaurants in the park offer children's menus, and bottles can be warmed free of charge at the restaurants or first-aid stations.
Baby changing areas are available in all of the park's restrooms.
Stroller rentals run $10 to $15 per day, and Cedar Point also offers a
Parent Swap program, which allows parents to take turns riding thrill rides and watching non-riding kids without having to wait on line twice.
