about Center for Puppetry Arts:

The Center for Puppetry Arts is the largest organization in the United States dedicated to the art form of puppetry. The three-story Center includes a 350-seat Mainstage Theater, 170-seat Downstairs Theater, Atrium, the Power of Wonder Museum, and Museum Special Exhibits.

The permanent exhibits are worth in a trip to the Center themselves, and we find that children of all ages find something to intrigue them. Check out our review for highlights.

The Center's Family Series presents original adaptions of classical stories and new works in a wide range of puppetry styles. Create-a-Puppet workshops provide a unique souvenir of the experience, and are included in the ticket price.

Those curious about the inner workings of the Center can take a Behind-the-Scenes Tour, which includes an in-depth exploration of the museum, the puppet-making workshop, and museum storage. Call 404.873.3391 to make advance tour reservations.

Birthday party privileges are for members only, and include a little red wagon for collecting presents, priority seating for the performance, a crown and throne for the birthday child, and a private party room. Choose from a Basic, Deluxe, or Premium party packages, each with a ten child minimum ($7-$22.50/child). For more information, contact the Birthday Party Hotline at 404.881.5149.

The lawn is available for picnics, but food is not available for purchase on site - bring your own.

Memberships begin at $45.
