Ceramicafe is a great place to hang out in a cafe atmosphere and paint your masterpiece ceramic. Choose from hundreds of ceramics like plates, figurines, mugs and more. Stencils, idea books, and stamps are available to enhance your creativity. You can also make mosiacs and create a hand or foot clay print. You can pick up your ceramic in five days after it's been glazed and fired.

Ceramics are available in a wide range of prices from $6 and up so this activity can fit into anyone's budget. The staff is very friendly and will help you set up your paint and choose colors.

Parties: Ceramicafe offers a Cupcake Party for birthdays or any occasion; the cost is a $35 party fee and $15 per child. Parties include cupcakes, punch, balloons, invitations, a $15 ceramic item/child, and a commemorative tile for the birthday boy/girl. If you want you can pay the deposit and bring your own cake, drinks, etc. and set your own limit on the cost of the ceramic.

Although it's a cafe, food is not served; you are welcome to bring your own snacks and something to drink, though.

All of the paint is water soluble and non-toxic.

We just had our daughter's 9yr birthday party at Ceramic Cafe. We rented the party room, which was a big hit! The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. They were great with the kids and adults. I feel the prices are fair, the room was very clean and organized, and the cup cakes were yummy! We really had a good time and will go back again for family fun and another birthday party. Very impressed!

Like the other review said, try to go on a weekday when it's not crowded. I had my baby make a baby handprint, but they mislabeled it with my first name (supposed to be filed under last) and they couldn't locate the piece until I went back to the storeroom and suggested they look under my first name instead...my husband and I also made ourselves mugs and cereal bowls once during our "date night" which was fun.

I am involved in Big Sisters of America and took my little sister to the Del Mar location on a Saturday. Its small and crowed. Though the staff is very friendly it was difficult for them to help everyone. There was also a party going on at the same time. There are several choices of ceramics to paint and several different colors. My overall impression of the place and the value was ok. When I arrived on Wednesday to pick up the ceramics there were maybe 3 people in the whole place and it was very calm. I would've like to have gone on a day like that.
