Cerrito Speakeasy Theater closed in May, 2009.
The
winner of our 2008
Parents' Picks quest to find the best
Parents Night Out in the Bay Area, the
Cerrito Speakeasy Theater is the expansion of the
Parkway picture/pub/pizza concept.
The theater offers eclectic programming and a diverse menu along with a superior projection system including the MOPIX rear window caption/descriptive listening devices for the visually and aurally impaired.
The Cerrito screens a wide range of classic and family films, in addition to the usual first run fare, as well as Speakeasy staples like Baby Brigade (Tuesdays, first two shows), 2-for-1 Wednesdays, and Thrillville, the cult move cabaret hosted by Speakeasy programmer Will "the Thrill" Viharo. The Cerrito is 21 and over weekdays, all ages weekends.
