Challenge charter school offers an accelerated program based on the CORE Knowledge Curriculum, with a focus on science and technology.
Classes have a low student/teacher ratio and feature electives in Spanish, PE, music, art, gifted education, and computer instruction. Free all-day Kindergarten is offered, as is limited bus transportion. Uniforms are required.
Before and after school care is offered on a fee basis. Afterschool programs may include gymnastics, dance, and chess club.
Challenge follows a traditional calendar, offers letter grades (A-F), and has 100% teacher certification. The school is rated as "excelling," the highest classification given under the Arizona Department of Education's performance guidelines (AZ LEARNS).
