My wife and I are parents of special needs kids and have been going to this YMCA for awhile now. My oldest is 8yrs old and Autistic. For the 1st time he had a minor breakdown when entering the Y. It usually take a small bit of time to get him calm and back to normal. My wife explained to the staff that he is autistic. She was carrying a bag with their swim stuff while trying to get him to stand back up. Nobody there offered to help with the bag so she can focus on our child or ask if there was anything they can do to help. They did tell her that they have people coming in 10 minutes and they need to leave.

Christian facility my ass... Cancelling this membership.

p.s. they have been getting lazy on posting swim schedules so we could never figure out if there is "open swim" lanes available during classes/lap swim without having to call in first. They used to post that information, but not recently.
