Chase Field, formerly known as
Bank One Ballpark, is home to the
Arizona Diamondbacks and is famous for its retractable roof, air conditioning, natural turf field, and - only in Phoenix, people -
swimming pool, located just beyond right-center field.
Whether families come for a game, guided tour, or one of many special events, this
state-of-the-art facility will thrill any baseball fan. The stadium has a seating capacity of over 49,000 and boasts incredible sight lines. An
8,000-ton cooling system and the
retractable roof guarantee a comfortable environment throughout the game - perhaps one of the reasons Valley fans are so enthusiastic about their home team!
When it's time for peanuts and Cracker Jack, the ballpark offers approximately a
quarter mile of concessions, including everything from Mexican food to McDonald's. Families may consider purchasing seats in the
Shamrock Farms Picnic Pavilion, where they can enjoy a picnic at tiered tables located just behind the center field wall. Guests should familiarize themselves with all
policies and restrictions regarding items carried into the ballpark.
Family-style restrooms are equipped with
baby changing tables and chairs for nursing mothers. They are located on the main concourse (across from sections 109 and 135), the suite/club level (across from suite 60, west side of concourse), the upper concourse (across from sections 306 and 331), and at field level (across from the NE elevators and behind section H).
Fans of all ages will enjoy meeting
Baxter the Bobcat, team mascot.
Baxter's Den is located off the main concourse in center field. Kids are welcome to come for pictures, stories, and autographs. Announcements are made during the game to let families know when Baxter will be available.
Children 3-15 years old receive a prize when they sign up for the free
Circle K StrikeZone Kids Club. Members earn merchandise and rewards when they attend Diamondbacks games. Sign-up locations are located throughout the ballpark.
After every Sunday home game, kids ages 3-15 are invited to
run the bases. Line up on the east ramp across from section 111 at the beginning of the ninth inning for an opportunity to "run the bases" like a real major leaguer!
An attached garage provides
parking spaces for 1500 guests on the Infiniti Diamond Level. Some 33000 additional parking spaces are available at other downtown locations within a 15-minute walk of the ballpark. Rates will vary, so check around for the best deal (usually $5 or so).
Chase offers
field tours year-round for individuals and groups. Tours last approximately 75 minutes and are held Mon-Sat at 9:30am, 11am, and 12:30pm. Tours do not visit the playing field, but are
wheelchair and stroller accessible. For prices, details, and scheduling exceptions, call the tour hotline at 602-462-6799.
Youth baseball camp offers kids ages 6-12 five days of big league instruction. Camps are held at various park locations throughout the year; call the
Arizona Diamondbacks Training Centers at 1.800.821.7152 for more information.
