Chatsworth Hills Academy is located on 16 beautiful acres.
The
teaching staff are credentialed, and many hold advanced degrees.
Special programs include computers, music, drama, Spanish, an arts program, and science lab. All students take part in
community service projects throughout the year in order to expand their awareness of and appreciation for the outside world.
For an extra fee, students can participate in
special after school activities such as Chess Club, Golf, Dance/Cheer, Kindersports, Preschool Intro to Dance, and more.
Frequent
Field Trips are included in the learning process, and vary by grade level. Eighth graders travel to Washington DC to learn about the nation's history; seventh graders spend five days at the Catalina Environmental Institute, and the sixth grade travels to the Yosemite Institute. These trips all take place in the spring.
Chatsworth Hills Academy participates in a variety of athletic programs, including flag football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
Pre-schoolers have the option of attending a half day (8:15am-12n) or a full day (8:15am-2pm), two, three, four, or five days per week. Grades K-2 attend school from 8:15am to 2:30pm, and grades 3-8 attend from 8:15am to 3pm.
Tuition: For grades K-5, tuition runs $10,480 per year and can be paid a full year in advance, semi-annually, or in nine monthly installments. For grades 6-8, tuition is $11,230 per year, and the same payment options apply. Preschoolers have a menu of choices: Half Day: 2x week = $420, 3x week = $455, 4x week = $480, 5x week = $500; Full Day: 2x week = $445, 3x week = $455, 4x week = $525, 5x week = $560.
An admissions screening is required for all students entering K through 8th grade, at a cost of $75.
Extended day care is available until 6pm each school day. Activities, snacks, and a homework room are also provided.
