The Chicago History Museum (formerly Chicago Historical Society) is a privately endowed, independent institution devoted to collecting, interpreting, and presenting the rich multicultural history of Chicago and Illinois, as well as selected areas of American history.
In the Konen Family Children's Gallery, visitors can use their five senses to explore Chicago - riding a high-wheel bicycle, listening to the sounds of the Great Chicago Fire, catching a fly ball at Comiskey Park, smelling the city's past, and "becoming" a Chicago-style hot dog.
