The Children's Museum of Virginia offers over 90 hands-on exhibits for kids of all ages, including a toy train collection and a planetarium.

Art classes for kids are available on a seasonal basis, and include adult-child classes for kids ages three to six, and classes for kids ages seven and up. Classes designed to augment homeschooling curricula are also available.

Birthday parties at the museum include invitations (for up to 15 guests), museum admission, a party room decorated with balloons, and a special goody bag for the birthday child. The cost is $100 for museum members, $125 for non-members. Birthday parties can be scheduled at any time, on any day, during museum hours. Call 757.393.5258 to book a date.
