I posted a few years ago (mom in SF) when they opened and i thought they were pretty good. They still have some very nice ammenities...bathroom, baby changing station, nursing area, lots of play stuff for all the kids and they are very kind about the craziness that seems to overrun the place sometimes (kids crying, moms distracted...etc...)...But....i am finding that the staff has two specific problems over time. 1) The pricing is very skewed. Sometimes items are priced appropriately, sometimes not and depending on who is pricing your own items (if you consign) you either get an good price, an okay price or a bad price. There seems to be no sit down with the owner and talking about what is fair or not for things so it seems a little too much of a whim sometimes for seller and buyer alike. The second problem 2) The buyers seem to get burnout. They have more attitude and less of a relaxed sales approach after being there for too long...This happens with all jobs but it's makes me feel like shopping elsewhere so i don't have to deal with the nose in the air (it's used stuff!!!)...Just my two cents.

I love this place and go all the time. I have not droped anything off in awhile, but they always have cute clothes for a great price. It can get really crowded, but it is cause they are so good at what they do. They are always organized and they never have a smelly nasty crammed store!!! The toys are great too!!! I highly recomment this place if you have a quicky growing tot, cause clothing for kids are never cheap and we always should recycle what ever we can.

this is the absolute best second hand and consignment kid's store in the city. they have a great range of clothes and great prices and a "sale" system that works really well. I love going in and browsing while my daughter plays with the many toys available. it's always a pleasure dealing with molly and her employees (hi olga!!). chloe's other closet is also great. full of awesome toys and a great selection of baby carriers. chloe's closet is an asset to bernal heights and the whole of san francisco.

I read that Chloe's Closet won Best of the Bay again. Congratulations. This store is one of the best local resources for inexpensive used children's clothing that I have found and the staff is very friendly. I will continue to shop there, although my daughter has almost outgrown the place!

its a hit or miss for me here. often too crowded and the clothing is usually in bad shape, but fairly priced. or cute and way expensive. anyway, when i visited last week i was pressured into voting for them on best of the bay. it was uncomfortable. i like going to all the kids thrift shops in the city, and am not easily scared away, but chloe closet is going down hill and are becoming rude.

The shirt in the window that said "my moms are dykes" really turned me off. I think that is highly offensive and not some thing to "show off" in the store window. I loved it when it first opened. Now there are so many "new items" that are over priced. It is suppose to be a recycled clothing shop, Not a booth at an art and wine festival with all of these hand made "new" and "exclusive" items :o(~~

I have returned the few items that I first bought here becuase of stains...when I returned them...I switched it out for some different clothes...and once again..stains and one was missing a button. I think they should get better lighting...that way they can see things better when they sit down in the middle of the store to go through stuff along with the customers being able to see the products.

I like the fact that Chloe's isn't picky and will take just about anything that you bring to them for consignment. They usually have to discount the price a few times before it sells and you get your money. I wish they just bought outright so I wouldn't have the lengthy wait. I've started to switch over to other resale stores who give you cash the same day and donate the rest for you so you don't have any extra bags.

I've been selling to places in SF and the East Bay for a couple of years now and i think that Chloe's is easily one of the better kids consignment shops. I've sold there and bought there and they have a wonderful staff and very laid back store without being too messy or confusing. It's a difficult business to be in but they've made it relatively painless. They have a great selection and it rotates very quickly. They are also very open to input about what parents might like to see more of. It's been great for the SF community to see more kids consignment shops cropping up.

I don't know what I would do without this shop! :) Such good bargains.

...more selective about what they buy so the store won't fell packed.Nothing with spots or holes. They just painted the toy store side and have set up a thomas train play area that delights all the kids and their parents too. Lots of gems and treasures to be found for great prices. Check it out. And theres a wishlist of you don't find what you want.

Chloe's Closet has a fantastic selection, they always have new, fresh clothing and toys each time I visit. They may have a lot "crammed in" to the store, but for the amount of consignors they have it only makes sense! Clothes (up to size 10), shoes, toys, books, videos..... I love this place! Highly Recommended!

You'll never leave empty-handed when you visit Chloe's Closet - there is a wide selection of clothing, toys, accessories, and equipment - all at great prices. The owner is fantastic too!
