Chollas Lake Park

This man-made 16-acre lake provides free youth fishing (for those 15 and under) as well as picnic areas, wooden play structures, and a trail that is short enough for even the shortest legs (0.8 miles). Bring bread for the ducks and geese, but be forewarned... they are sometimes overly friendly.
Chollas Lake Park offers free use of fishing gear and free bait each Sunday from 10am to 2pm. A picture ID card is required to check out the equipment.

getting there:
From I-805 take the 94 Freeway East and exit on Broadway/College Avenue. Turn right on College Avenue and then left on College Grove Drive. Look for the park entrance on the right, just past College Grove Way.
