Always a kid favorite, Chuck E. Cheese's is an indoor entertainment venue with a hand-stamped security system designed to give parents peace of mind. Arcade games, rides, a ball pit, video screens, and performances by large costumed characters provide the fun - though some characters can be scary for little ones.
As they win games in the colorful arcade area, kids receive tickets that are exchanged for prizes. Add passable pizza, hot wings, sandwiches, and a salad bar, and you have a decent family outing. The noise level isn't for sissies, however - just remember to pop the aspirin before you go.
Birthday party packages include a decorated table for 90 minutes, two slices of pizza with one topping per child, soft drink refills, a birthday cake (though you might prefer to bring your own), sixteen tokens for each child, a souvenir cup, a special balloon, birthday crown, and bag of cotton candy for the birthday child, a birthday show performed by Chuck E. Cheese (for the uninitiated, Chuck is a giant mouse) and his musical friends, a personal visit from the Chuckmeister, and a host or hostess to personally serve you and your guests and assist with the party. tips:
Check the website for coupons before you go. Chuck E. Cheese also offers a tokens-for-grades program, so kids can bring their report cards and benefit from their hard work. A's garner three tokens, B's get two, and C's get one.
