About Citris Grill
We heard nothing but good things about this restaurant before giving it a try, but we were under the impression Citris Grill was not a good place for kids/families. Not so! During our visit, the dining room had several tables surrounded by families with children of all ages. The atmosphere is casual and noisy, and plenty of highchairs are available. Live music is offered several nights a week.
People rave about the food here, and we agree many of the menu items are quite good. The menu ranges from the ordinary - hamburgers, turkey melts, salads, and wood-fired pizzas - to the more adventurous items like the butternut squash fettuccini, the sesame seared salmon, and the tortilla crusted tilapia with a jalapeno honey glaze. Customer favorites tend to be the hamburger, the amazingly tender slow roasted chipotle baby back ribs, the sweet potato corn chowder, and the chicken cashew lettuce wraps, but it's hard to go wrong with just about anything on the menu.
Kids can order from the children's menu. They can choose grilled cheese, corn dog, cheese pizza, macaroni and cheese, or chicken tenders. All kids' meals are served with French fries, green beans, applesauce, or a side salad, and come with a small drink (soda, milk, or juice). We advise steering clear of the pizza on the kids' menu; it was one of the worst we've tasted - a shock considering how good everything else was. The back of the kids' menu is a coloring page to keep little ones busy while waiting to be served.
Brunch is served on the weekends. The eggs Benedict and the scrambles are hard to beat.
