Kid sister to the popular Lincoln Square women's boutique, The Dressing Room, City Mouse is a veritable playground for children's clothing, shoes, and accessories. Cityscape murals - including el tracks and grafitti - grace the walls of the shop, which also boasts a "city playground area" and indoor stroller parking. Featured lines include Small Paul, JJ Cole, Little Me, and Vans Shoes. In addition to clothing, parents can find accessories, stuffed animals, layette items, and a limited number of books and toys (our nine-year-old loved the skateboards).
getting there:
On Lincoln Avenue just north of the el tracks; Take the Brown Line to Western Avenue or the #11 Lincoln bus to Leland.
