History? You're soaking in it! And while you're in the nation's cradle, you might as well dine on a bit of history as well!
City Tavern is not especially casual, but it does offer an award-winning children's menu, which includes Colonial turkey pot pie, cornmeal crusted chicken tenders with fries, grilled chicken breast (served with buttered noodles), grilled ham and cheese, or fish and chips.
As you eat, bear in mind that Paul Revere stopped here (well, not here, exactly - the restaurant has been rebuilt since the old days, but in this location), on horseback, with the news that the British had closed Boston Harbor. George Washington ate here (though not from the children's menu), as well.
City Tavern also offers valet parking.
