about Civic Opera House:

Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, the Civic Opera House is a hybrid of Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles and is considered to be one of the world's most beautiful. Built in 1929 and restored to its original splendor, it not only boasts gracious surroundings, but excellent sight lines and premium acoustics. Home to the world renowned Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Civic Opera House has played host to numerous Broadway shows including Sunset Boulevard and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as celebrated musical artists ranging from Björk to Frank Sinatra.

Located on the corner of Wacker and Madison, two blocks north of the Sears Tower.
