Campers typically have one or more disabilities, such as autism, mental and/or emotional impairment, speech and language delay, or a physical handicap. There are talent shows, dances, puppet shows, and a carnival. The facilities at Independence Oaks County Park is used for boating, fishing, hiking, and swimming.
