Cleveland Metroparks provides over 60 miles of paved, all purpose trails for cycling, walking, running and in-line skating. Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the all purpose trails. For the most part, from Solon on the east to Strongsville on the west, the trails are relatively flat and make for decent practice ground for beginning bicyclists. The trails see the most traffic on weekday evenings, so we recommend trying out that first set of (two) wheels in the morning. Besides the natural features of each park - and they are diverse! - visitors also find picnic tables, grills, playgrounds, restrooms, and other amenities dotting the trail. In addition to the paved All Purpose Trail, Cleveland Metroparks offer many other trail choices, from flat to steep, and short to long, with varied scenery.
