about Cleveland National Forest:

The Cleveland National Forest is the southern-most National Forest in California and consists of 460,000 acres - encompassing large parts of Ramona, Alpine, and Corona. It is considered by some to be a "must see" attraction in San Diego County because of its beauty, variety of hiking trails, and wildlife.

tips:

Significant parts of the Park are closed due to the Oct 2003 wildfires. Call ahead to check which areas are open and closed.

getting there:

Since the Park is so large, it can be approached from many parts of San Diego. Visit the web site for directions and list of open entrances.
