Community Day Care and Enrichment Center - widely known as Community Day Care - provides full time day care/preschool programs for children from three months through age 12. Every classroom - even the infant class - has a preschool component. An accredited full day kindergarten program is offered as well.
The center has been around since 1970 and is located right in the middle of downtown, in the First Congregational Church. It is not a faith-based program, and it attracts a good mix of ethnicities and incomes.
Breakfast, hot lunch, and snacks are provided. Parents should provide diapers (if needed) and a change of clothes.
Expect to be placed on a waiting list if your children are under the age of three.
The day care facility offers a sliding fee scale for low-income families.
