A spectacular living museum of rare and beautiful tropical plants from around the world engages visitors physically, intellectually, and emotionally.

Designated as a city, state and national historic landmark, the Conservatory of Flowers has been a San Francisco icon since it was erected in 1879. The 12,000 square-foot Victorian greenhouse is the oldest existing wood and glass public conservatory in the Western Hemisphere, and one of the most photographed sites in San Francisco.

The Conservatory is served by several public transit routes. From downtown, take SF Muni buses #5, 7, 21, 71, or the Muni-Metro N-Judah streetcar. From north of the Park, take Muni buses #33 or 44. From South of the Park, take Muni buses #33, 44, or 71.
