about Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum:

The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, part of the Smithsonian Institution, is the only museum in the nation devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design. Its galleries feature exhibitions that examine issues of design as they relate to daily life.

Cooper-Hewitt guides lead 50-minute free tours of the Museum's featured exhibitions.

The Museum is fully accessible to visitors who use wheelchairs or walkers; wheelchairs are also available for visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cross street is 5th Avenue. Garden entrance on 90th Street open May-Sep (weather permitting).
