The CCC is a non-profit, parent-owned child care center, which offers full-time/part-time care for 40+ kids ages one-six and has full-time professionally-trained teachers in all rooms. Parents are actively involved in all aspects of the operation and each family commits to working two-three hours per week at the school (fines are levied if parents miss mandatory meetings or workdays).

Our older daughter attended the CCC from age 1.5 to kindergarten and our younger son, age two, is now there. Our kids love the homey, creative environment and I love the commitment and involvement of the parents and staff. Our family has also benefited from the center's commitment to teaching positive communication skills for kids and parents.

If you liked the book, How to Talk so Kids Will Listen, and Listen So Kids Will Talk, you will be attracted to the communication skills and respect focus at the CCC.

I waited for over a year to get on the wait list. If you're thinking about joining, call and take a tour to get on the wait list. Also drop in care is for those who are currently attending the Coop ( the review appeared misleading)

Must see's: over half of the teachers are men
Free thought and free spirited thinking is highly encouraged. The teachers and the kids always look like they're having so much fun. Don't miss the guy show parent hours in the Comet room: you'll find at least two to three dad's helping out and two guy teachers...teacher Brandon helps the kids to create whatever hair do they want, which is usually copying Teacher Brandon's orange mo-hawk. He hair gels them up and Teacher Dave puts on some really energetic rock or hip hop music and lets the kids freeze dance to the music. What a great way to end the week. Many of the teachers have other passions, such as artists and two or three of them are in rock bands.

If you want to find a place that is a community, not just a daycare this is the place for you!. Walking into the center instantly you'll feel at home, its a little messy and totally kid oriented with a indoor climbing wall and lots of things for kids to make see and do.
The teachers are amazing. Each and every one is passionate about their jobs and has the education to back up what they do. Parents are viewed as a part of the program and they help out in the classroom from 1-3 hours per week.
The food is all organic, vegetarian and they use only organic milk or soy milk upon request. If you're looking for drop off and go childcare center this place is not for you since it requires that you become a member and actively participate. Still there's no better feeling than walking into your childs classroom for parent hours and the kids run up to you often with a story book in hand and know you by name!

The children there have highly developed social skills and can reason with one another through most every disagreement. The center follows and anti-bias inclusionist approach. Can't say enough good things about this place.
