The Craft Studio is a great place for the usual plaster painting, and it also offers wood toys that could use a blob or so of color. Prices range from $12.95 for plaster craft and ceramic painting, to $14.95 for terra cotta pots, $16.95 for T-shirt painting with glitter paints, to about $25 for painting wooden treasure boxes and toys.

A little more extensive than the usual paint-pottery-party, Craft Studio parties offer extra options like building and decorating chocolate houses, or painting a terra cotta pot and then plopping in a plant. Other options include a super hero party where kids create their own cape and mask, and the glamour girl party during which girls get special treatments including spray on hair color, manicures, makeovers, and jewel tattoos. Party add-ons include a tattoo parlor, princess treatment, and cupcake decorating.

The studio supplies one and a half hours of time, Haagen Daz ice cream cake, candles, smocks, balloons, paper goods, juice boxes, coffee, and candy. The energetic staff provides games, music, and face-painting. Pizza is an additional $3/slice per child. Book early, at least a month in advance.

Party prices range from $670 for 10 children working on plaster projects to $850 for 10 children working with chocolate.

Week-long themed classes are offered in the summer, for children ages two and up (the youngest must come accompanied by an adult, after age four kids can be left).

A well-stocked arts & crafts toy shop is right on premises, perhaps making it difficult for an easy getaway, but wonderful for that last minute gift!
