One of the most picturesque swimming beaches in all of New England. Four miles of white sand and gentle surf make Crane Beach an excellent family beach. Facilities (in-season) include lifeguards and rangers, bike rack, bath houses (with toilets and changing area), outside showers, picnic tables, Crane Beach Store (refreshments, sandwiches and wraps, and merchandise), drinking water fountains (located outside the bath houses), information kiosk, transportation for mobility-impaired and challenged visitors.
Owned and managed by The Trustees of Reservations, Crane Beach also serves as an important nature and wildlife preserve, protecting fragile barrier beach landscapes and shorebird populations, including the threatened piping plover.
