One of Altamonte Springs' most beautiful parks is named after the 37 acre lake it surrounds.
Immensely popular with joggers, power walkers, and moms with strollers, a well-maintained pedestrian path around the lake offers restrooms, benches, large water fountains, and covered seating areas. Grassy areas also provide a great location for picnicking or appreciating the fine Florida weather.
The park also features a floating stage (used to great length during 4th of July celebrations and other special events) and the 900-seat Eddie Rose Amphitheater. Wear sunscreen or bring an umbrella when attending an event, though; shade for the floating stage seating area is hard to come by.
Park facilities are also available to rent for special gatherings and events.
