The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the best toy store for big kids in Denver, this wonderful neighborhood toy shop is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. Their goal is to offer a broad selection of quality toys at "K-Mart/Target" prices by keeping their costs down. They also specialize in non-toxic toys and green companies.
The owner, Jerome Crawford, is almost always behind the register; since he and his wife select the entire inventory, he is a wealth of information and ideas for that "perfect" toy. If you need a last-minute birthday gift, just stop in, describe the child, and Jerome can suggest an item in a snap. He'll even wrap it for you at no charge.
Toys are educational-based and appeal to children of all ages, including baby toys. In addition to specialty brands, Jerome carries Lego, k'nex, Ravensberger, and much more. The store also has a small selection of some of the best-loved children's picture books.
Crawdaddy's frequently hosts promotional events such as ice cream socials, face painting, family game nights, and more. They also offer a frequent buyer program and send gift certificates to registered children for birthdays.
