If there were negative stars, that's what I would give this place by way of organization and information. When entrusting your child with a camp for winter, spring, or summer break, one would hope the facility/staff would provide you with everything you need for a successful drop off and pick up; one that would leave the child (and parent) free of apprehension, confusion or fear.

Instead after enrolling in camp, we were provided with ZERO information, and were left to rely on the dated, outmoded website to provide us with details. After wasting 20 minutes at drop-off searching for a camp that was listed, ON the Creative Space site, as being at New Roads Elementary, I finally called to find out that the "website hasn't been updated since 2010" and that camp is actually held at the Creative Space location on Pico.

Arriving late and upset, I was mistreated by a condescending staff member, who without empathy or apology, made me feel like a total ass for being frazzled and not knowing that the website was outdated. Her reason, "that's the way the owner wants it, but I'll be sure she's made aware of your complaint". Saccharine smile later, I am asked to fill out forms we've already filled out and put into a room where there is no process for making a child feel safe, at home, or comfortable. Just drop 'em and go. No intro, no details about the day, no tour, no reminders about pick-up, no indication as to who the teachers are.... NOTHING. This is a 4-year old we're talking about here.

Later, again duped by the website, I read that pick up was at 3:00. Only to get a frantic call from my husband that our daughter was the last kid there and was supposed to be picked up at 2. Why on earth wasn't that communicated to us? Where is the organization, the professionalism, the information? These are small children and we are their parents. My doggie daycare is better suited for care taking and providing assurances.

This place is a disaster. A disheveled mess with people manning the phones who have the parental relationship skills of teenagers. It may be great for parties, but leaving your child there, unattended. I'd rather use all my vacation days and stay home.

If I could get a refund, I would.

We just celebrated my son's 6th birthday at the West side location on Pico Blvd. I have to say that this was the best birthday experience we ever had. First, my son felt special and had a fantastic time. As for me, I didn't have to lift a finger. They really took care of every little detail! I pretty much just hang out, felt like a princess- and had a good time (a first for me in the realm of throwing my kid a birthday party). The 5 people on staff (yes, you read correctly - 5 attentive staff members)were pretty much a dream come true. They entertained the 24 kids in our party and smoothly transitioned them from one activity to the next. They were also very much aware of the adult guests and made sure everyone had what they need. What else can I ask for? The kids had a blast and I was refreshed and energized when we were done! Thank you Creative Space people :-)
