I have had nothing but great experiences with Crossing Borders. I have had both of my daughters enrolled at the Rice location. My oldest daughter started out in the Spanish class, and once they started offering Mandarin, I had her alternate days between the 2 languages. She attended for 2 years and has now moved on to the Chinese Immersion school offered through HISD. Crossing Borders provided her with an excellent start in both the language and culture.. I'm planning on enrolling her in the after school classes in Spanish so that she will maintain and build on what she has learned these last 2 years. My youngest started with CB at an earlier age and has picked up even more of the language. Both the Mandarin and Spanish teachers we've had have been extremely warm and caringâ?¦.my daughters love them!

Weird about the other reviewers on here, because we have nothing but good to say about this organization. Our little one (2 years old) has been attending their Chinese classes in Rice Village for about 4 months now and we're nothing but super happy with everything she's been exposed to -- with both her progress in both making new friends and learning a difficult foreign language. The teacher is amazing. Extremely warm and good with her kids, a native speaker, and very patient. Our little girl now sings Chinese songs at home, has a smile on her face every day when she goes to school and comes back from there. I can't speak for any other Crossing Border locations, but the one at Rice Village is hosted on the grounds of a beautiful stone Lutheran church with nice greenery around the class rooms. It just feels safe and very accomodating there. They also have an excellent Spanish program whose teacher is amazing as well. We looked a long time for some sort of foreign language program for our daughter before deciding on Crossing Borders at Rice. This truly was the best that we found after an extensive search. We're glad we did. High thumbs up!!

My children and I had a horrible experience with this company! Do you not waste your time or money on their programs!

Extremely disappointed. Unsafe environment. Untrained staff. Beware this company.
