about Crosswinds Marsh Wetland Interpretive Preserve:

More than 200 species of birds and 40 different species of mammals call Crosswinds Marsh their home. The diverse wetland habitat features more than six miles of trails and boardwalks that wind through colorful marshes. Other activities include horseback riding, cross-country skiing, fishing, and picnicking.

Workshops are offered for scouts, and public family programs are available from April through October in an open-air pavilion.

getting there:

Take I-275 to Will-Carleton Road (Exit #8) and go west 3 1/2-miles to Haggerty Road. Take Haggerty Road 1/2-mile north to park entrance on the west side of the road.
