about Cunard Memorial Playground at John Howell Park:

Opened in 2003 to honor the memory of a mother and her two young sons, the Cunard Memorial Playground offers three acres of play space for young to older children. On a rubber base, a traditional playground structure of tunnels, slides, and ladders combines with a fire truck and some unique elements, not typically seen at a neighborhood park. The area also boasts large open expanses for frisbee and general running around, and a sand volleyball court makes for some fun sports adventures.
