This cool toystore seems deceptively small from the outside, but open the door and you'll find
3,000 square feet of high-quality toys, a colorful mural on one wall, and good kids' music playing in the background.
Curious Kidstuff offers a great selection of baby and toddler toys, outdoor toys (including high quality buckets and gardening tools), Kettler trikes, Brio and PlayMobil sets, arts and crafts supplies, games and puzzles, and... you name it. A small but well-chosen selection of children's CDs and books is located in its own section, away from the main room. You won't find cheap or violent toys here; the only commercial toys we saw featured a certain square-pantsed cartoon character much beloved by the grade school set.
There's a lot here, and none of it will make you fall into despair over the degraded state of children's toy manufacturing.
Nice touches include
play tables and dollhouses placed around the store for children to play with while their parents shop, and sample toys scattered here and there on the floor. Shoppers on their way to a birthday party will appreciate the
complimentary gift wrapping - we saw stacks of tissue paper in rainbow colors and kid-pleasing package decorations.
The Little Artist, located upstairs, offers art classes, summer day camps and birthday parties.
