about Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART):

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) gets riders around 13 area cities via rail, bus, paratransit, HOV lane, and rideshare services. It serves DFW International Airport and Fort Worth via the Trinity Railway Express (TRE). For great ideas on family outings using DART, visit the online DART Travel Agent at www.dart.org/travelagent. DART offers two basic, one-way fares - $1.50 for local bus and rail service, and $2.50 for Premium express bus service (all route numbers in the 200s), DART On-Call, and for two-zone service on the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) crossing the fare zone boundary between West Irving Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. For those passengers using DART round trip or making transfers to a second bus or rail route, a Day Pass - $3 for local bus and rail service, and $5 for Premium express bus service, DART On-Call, and TRE two-zone service - is recommended. Day Passes are good for unlimited rides on the date purchased (including your return trip) until 3am. Reduced fares (75 cents for a one-way fare; $1.50 for a Day Pass) are available for children ages five to 14, local high school students with school ID, and seniors and persons with disabilities with valid DART photo ID. Children under age five are free with a paying adult.
