about Dance Place:

Dance Place offers a Family Series on Sundays that features professional companies and young artists performing a variety of dance styles, including Modern Dance, Tap, West African, Step, Kuchipudi Classical Indian Dance, and Jazz.

In addition to its dance theatre division, Dance Place houses Kids On the Move, a dance program for children and teens ages three to 18 offering classes in various disciplines - tap, hip hop, jazz, ballet, creative movement, and more. Classes are offered in eight to 12-week blocks, with options to take one or more classes per week, plus summer camp. Performing opportunities are also available.

By Metro, Dance Place is three blocks from the Brookland/CUA Redline Metro stop (two stations north of Union Station). Exit the turnstiles and immediately go right and up the escalator. You will be out of doors in a bus area. Turn right to the bus area. Follow the sidewalk, which leads to Monroe Street. Turn right onto Monroe Street. Go across the short bridge. Once across, turn left immediately onto 8th Street, NE. Dance Place is two blocks down on the left side of the street.
