Dark Star Park050
in Arlington, VA 22201about Dark Star Park:
Dark Star Park, a park and public art work, was created in 1984 by artist Nancy Holt. It's large spheres are designed to resemble fallen, extinguished Stars. One section of the park contains spheres and poles with shadow-images inset in the ground. Each year on August 1, the day (in 1860) William Henry Ross acquired the land that became Rosslyn, the actual shadows align with the shadow-images at 9:32am.
